The Decision of a Lifetime…

Born in December of 1969, I have been overweight for most of my life, the last time I remember being the same size as my friends; I was about 7. I have done every diet, every exercise, and finally accepted that I was meant to be heavy.  In high school I was a professional plus sized model (Lane Bryant, Woman’s World, PS, and Just My Size) and was a “perfect” size 18.  I was happy, popular, and chubby.  Now I am a happy 40 year old Web Designer with a wonderful husband who married me in 1991, because I was the “girl of his dreams”.  He is a big fan of big girls; so I never worried a lot about my weight even when I topped out at 282.

Until it started to seriously affect my health…

When I became diabetic along with my high blood pressure, then started having issues with fatty liver and high cholesterol, on top of PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovary), Endometriosis, and Colitis… I decided that I had to do something, so two days ago… I did.

I had Gastric Sleeve Surgery; and hope that this is a new beginning!
