This is a question that we often ask ourselves at different points in our lives, and as we age we learn that who we are changes with the experiences we have.
So, who am I?
Today I am Debi, a 38 year old woman who has had a pretty awesome life. I currently work from home in the field of website design and technical documentation. I have a steady customer that is the meat of my yearly income, but I enjoy the flexibility of being able to freelance on occasion as well. My husband of almost 18 years is my best friend and we have a huge social circle of friends from all walks of life. I love to play video games and am part of a large LARP group.
Most people see me as outgoing and outspoken, but they don’t realize that it took years for me to become that way. When Robert met me in 1990, I was a rather shy ex-fashion model with a mommy’s girl complex. It took a lot of will to learn to be more outgoing, but it was the most liberating thing I ever did for myself, and it changed me at the core, not just externally.
